Palliative care is provided through home visits. Healthcare staff monitor adherence to prescribed medicinal courses. TEBA ensures that formal referral processes and links to local health facilities are in place, including transportation to relevant government health institutions. Progress reports are delivered to clients on a regular basis.

TEBA supports TB, HIV and Silicosis programmes that include nutrition and disease prevention education, as well as the physical care and support of those affected. Medically repatriated employees are furthermore placed on the home-based care (HBC) programme. This involves an initial assessment, registration at a local government health centre, and scheduled visits to monitor and manage the health of the former employee.
