Benefit Claims Assistance

TEBA is contracted by various occupational health, pension and provident fund administrators to, on their behalf, trace and provide support to claimants of various unclaimed benefits. We will provide you or your family with support to complete the necessary forms and identify the necessary supporting documentation that should accompany your benefits claim.

BENEFITS YOU CAN CLAIM FOR

If you or any of your family members have been formally employed, you should check whether you are owed unclaimed pension or provident fund benefits, industry awards, employee share ownership schemes (ESOPs) or occupational disease benefits.

To check if you have any unclaimed benefits due to you, contact us at:

SILICOSIS CLAIM(S)

African Rainbow Minerals, Anglo American, AngloGold Ashanti, Gold Fields, Harmony and Sibanye-Stillwater and mineworkers’ lawyers have agreed to a settlement to pay compensation to eligible mineworkers who got sick with silicosis and/or TB while working at one of their mines listed here.

COMPLETE YOUR DOCUMENTS

We will help you complete your documents correctly and in your home language.

Once you have contacted us, we will give you the correct claim forms to complete. If you are not able to come directly to one of our tracing offices, the documents will be sent to you with instructions on how to complete them.

You can choose the easiest way for you to send these documents back to TEBA. This can be done through the post office, by email, by fax, or hand-delivered directly to your closest TEBA office.

If you are able to go to a TEBA office to complete the forms, you will be guided by friendly TEBA staff on what to do. They will give you the claim documents directly, and will help you to fill these out correctly in English.

SUBMIT CLAIM DOCUMENTS

The TEBA team will check that you have completed the forms correctly, and will submit the final claim document to the relevant fund(s) on your behalf. This process is documented and tracked so that TEBA can compile reports for clients to assist with benefit allocations.

MAKING SURE YOU ARE SAFE FROM BENEFIT CLAIMS FRAUD

TEBA is committed to making sure you are safe from benefit claims fraud.

Please be aware of and report people who say they can help you claim your benefits, but who charge you for their services. TEBA does not charge beneficiaries. We are paid by the funds to which we are contracted.
